Project Outline
The RailCorp Easy Access Station Upgrading Program supported the Governments policy objective to achieve equitable access to public transport services, aimed at providing wheelchair accessible paths to CityRail stations for people with disabilities, parents with prams and the elderly.

The scope for Central, Sydenham, St James and Martin Place Station upgrade included:

  • Central Station – Easy Access facilities at the Devonshire Street access including booking office upgrade, accessible toilet facilities and upgrade of subway tunnel.
  • Sydenham Station – Construction of the new concourse over tracks, and lifts, building and retail works, a temporary footbridge linking all platforms.
  • St James Station – Provide a  new lift for St James Station on the Northern side of the existing Elizabeth Street, a new conference room, concourse, and pedestrian subway upgrade works.
  • Martin Place – Construction of two new lifts linking street, mezzanine, and concourse levels, including booking office and toilet modifications works.

Services Delivered

  • Developed new Capital Works Delivery Model and Procurement Strategy.
  • Procurement of a single large contract on ‘Design & Construct’ basis; achieved 20% savings for RailCorp.
  • Provided project and program management services for the provision of Detailed Design, Construction, Commissioning and Handover of RailCorp assets.
  • Lead project teams, designers, external consultants, and contractors for the purpose of concept definition, feasibility analysis, design, planning, scheduling, procurement, contract administration and contractor performance management, defects liability management, financial and budget management, risk management, quality, WH&S and environment management and benefits realisation.

Project Outline
The RailCorp Easy Access Station Upgrading Program supported the Governments policy objective to achieve equitable access to public transport services. The program objective was to deliver a functionally accessible station, with a continuous, accessible path of travel within and around the station.

The scope of Emu Plains Easy Access upgrade included:

  • Installation of two (2) lifts
  • Extension of the Footbridge
  • Extension and resurfacing of platforms
  • Construction of a new canopy on platform 1 side
  • Construction of new family accessible toilets
  • Provision of signage, station lighting & CCTV surveillance cameras
  • Installation of tactile hazard indicators to stairs, ramps and along platform

Services Delivered

  • Provided comprehensive project management services for Emu Plains Upgrade.
  • The project was delivered safely with minimal inconvenience to customers. (No lost time injuries and no incidents impacting on reliability).
  • The project was delivered under budget, completed three months ahead of schedule.

Project Outline
The project objective was to make Bowral Station more accessible by providing easy access facilities, improving station amenities and security for passengers.

The project scope for Bowral Station Easy Access Upgrade included:

  • Installation of two lifts
  • Construction of new footbridge
  • Re-roofing works for existing station buildings
  • Enhancement of both station entrances
  • Installation of tactile hazard indicators to stairs, ramps and along the platforms
  • Construction of a new family toilet
  • Resurfacing of the carpark
  • Signage & CCTV surveillance cameras

Services Delivered

  • Provided project management services and implementation strategy in line with RailCorp’s Project Management Roadmap.

  • Re-roofing of the existing station buildings
  • Installation of tactile hazard indicators to stairs, ramps and along platform
  • Construction of a new accessible family toilet

  • Provision of signage & CCTV surveillance cameras
